25 years of microsensor technology - key technologies for industry, medicine and the environment

On 28th June 2018, CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH celebrated its 25th anniversary. Together with 100 guests from research, politics and industry, we opened the day with a ceremony and concluded it with a large family celebration at egapark.

Numerous guests from politics, science and industry took part in the ceremony in the atrium of the comcenter Brühl. Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow addressed a greeting to the audience.
The two keynote speeches were held by Prof. Roland Werthschützky (Head of the Department of Measurement and Sensor Technology at the Institute of Electromechanical Design at the Technical University of Darmstadt) and Prof. Paolo Giubellino (Scientific Director of the particle accelerator centres Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH (FAIR GmbH) and GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH).

These two internationally recognized experts reported on solutions with silicon-based sensors for the future fields of industry 4.0, health care, sustainable energy supply and mobility. The deputy managing director of the IHK, Dr. Cornelia Haase-Lerch, presented the management with the honorary certificate for the 25th anniversary.
